Text Box: Question Of The Month
Text Box: “ Change is a process, not an event.””
Text Box: Here is September’s question of the month. The responses are from folks recently seen at the Club.

“How does your recovery work for you, by coming to the Alano Club of San Jose?”

Art V says: This is where I first started my recovery. Some of the same people are still here! This shows me they keep coming back, and their recovery is working. If it wasn't for the Alano Club I don’t know what I’d do. Every time I’ve come back after a relapse, I come here and am welcomed with open arms. There are “long life friends” made here, from what were once strangers.

Richard C. says: I get a sense of joy, peace and happiness. I can relate to a lot of the people here. Coming here allows me to learn other cultures, and ways of life. There’s ethnic diversity here.

Diane N says: The Alano Club saved my life. I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for the Alano Club. I always have a place to come to. People here really helped, and I would not have made it through some tough times without them. I love it here...I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t.
